How did the Korean threat reach Israel?
US accuses UN Human Rights Council of bias against IsraelThe US State Department has taken Israel’s side and will boycott today’s UN Human Rights Council’s session regarding Palestinians in “occupied territories.” “The United States will vote against every resolution put forth under this agenda item and is encouraging other countries to do the same,” the US State Department said.
In a statement made today (Monday), the US State Department expressed its vehement opposition to the UNHRC’s session titled “Human rights situation in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories,” also known as Agenda Item Seven.
“Today’s actions in the Council are yet another reminder of that body’s longstanding bias against Israel,” said Mark Toner, the US State Department’s acting spokesperson. He added that “no other nation has an entire agenda item dedicated to it at the Council. The continued existence of this agenda item is among the largest threats to the credibility of the Council.”

Citing the Council’s anti-Israel bias, the US has decided to boycott the meeting and intends to vote against any decision that may be reached. “It does not serve the interests of the Council to single out one country in an unbalanced matter,” the State Department said in a statement.
Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump said that he was reconsidering US participation in the UN's Human Rights Council and called for a policy reform to curb the council’s biased attacks against Israel.
