USS George H.W. Bush, the U.S. Navy’s largest and newest aircraft carrier, docked on Saturday morning at the Port of Haifa. There are more than 5,000 crew members and pilots aboard the massive aircraft carrier, which is always carrying about 90 different types of aircraft.

Over the past two years, the aircraft carrier has been operating from the Persian Gulf, from where the aircraft aboard have taken off in order to attack ISIS targets in Syria. The aircraft carrier was stationed off the coast of Ukraine when Russia invaded Crimea in 2014.
