Yesterday (Thursday), an organization that aims to protect Jews in Britain, The Community Security Trust (CST), published worrying data that points to increased anti-Semitism in the country. “It is sadly clear that the overall situation has deteriorated,” said CST Chief Executive David Delew.

According to the report, over the past half a year, 767 anti-Semitic incidents were recorded in the country, a 30% increase from last year’s data. 142 of these took place on social media and 351 incidents of verbal abuse were recorded.

“Anti-Semitism is having an increasing impact on the lives of British Jews,” Delew added. “The hatred and anger that lies behind it is spreading.” According to CST Director of Communications Mark Gardner, the trend might indicate the state of society in general. A large number of these cases involve extreme right-wing activists.
