Watch: Obama wishes Jewish people sweet Rosh Hashanah

Leaders from all over the world blessed the Jewish people yesterday evening in honor of Rosh Hashanah. Among the leaders who wished the Jewish people a sweet new year were the US President and British Prime Minister.

Yesterday (Sunday), various world leaders took the time to wish the Jewish people a happy and sweet new year.

US President Barack Obama uploaded a video in which he blessed the Jewish people around the world in honor of Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year). “For me personally, my last Rosh Hashanah in the White House is a chance to reflect on the great privilege I’ve had as President to work closely with the Jewish community,” said Obama.

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi wished the Jewish people a happy new year in a tweet. In addition, British Theresa May uploaded a video in which she wished the Jewish people a sweet new year and promised to fight anti-Semitism.

Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the UK’s Labour Party, also blessed the Jewish people yesterday evening in a tweet. Corbyn made headlines in recent months several times due to the anti-Semitism within his political party.
