10 female soldiers suffering from hypothermia were transferred last night (Monday) to Beersheba’s Soroka Medical Center. The soldiers’ medical conditions are considered fair. The soldiers were participating in a training exercise outdoors over the past few days when the weather was extremely cold.

The weather conditions in the area near Yeruham changed fast. The temperatures dropped from 11 degrees C (51.8 degrees F) to 8 degrees C (46.4 degrees F) within a short period of time. When rain began to fall in the area, the winds reached 45 kilometers per hour, making it even colder.
