After efforts were made to save the life of a 70-year-old woman who was pulled out of the water at a Haifa beach, the authorities were forced to declare her death. Less than an hour later, a 73-year-old man was pulled out of the water in Jaffa and was later on declared to be dead.

There were two drowning incidents along Israel’s beaches today, one in Haifa and one in Jaffa. A 70-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man drowned this morning along Israel’s beaches within an hour apart from each other.
Magen David Adom arrived at the Haifa Bat Galim beach, gave the woman medical care and in the end was forced to declare her death: “When we got to the coast, rescuers performed CPR on a woman about age 70 who was dragged from the sea unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing.” But in the end, it did not succeed to save her life.
Less than an hour later, a 73-year-old man was pulled out of the water at a Jaffa beach. Magen David Adom provided medical assistance and performed CPR on him but in the end had to declare his death as well.
