At least two people died on Tuesday evening during an accident near Cabri Junction, located close to Nahariya. Two additional people were involved in the accident, one who was critically injured and the other who sustained severe injuries. David Adom (MDA) paramedics dispatched to the scene provided primary treatment to the two wounded people and transported them to the hospital.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the accident was a head-on collision between two vehicles, one of which flipped over into the ditch on the side of the road. Israel Police forces are currently located at the scene in order to divert traffic.
Senior-level MDA paramedic Dudu Alfassi, who was dispatched to the scene of the accident, stated that this was a very serious accident. “A 20-year-old young man was laying unconscious on the road next to one of the vehicles without a pulse and he wasn’t breathing,” Alfassi said. “We performed CPR, but his injuries were very severe and he was determined dead shortly afterwards.”
Three additional people died earlier on Tuesday in separate car accidents throughout Israel. A 16-year-old boy was killed in a four-wheeler accident on Tuesday afternoon in Northern Israel. MDA personnel dispatched to the scene performed CPR and transported him to the hospital, where he was determined dead.
