The Pelephone management announced last night to the Worker’s Committee of their intention to lay off about 200 workers in the coming weeks. This will cut the number of workers by about 6%.
The Chairman of the Workers Committee Barak Levy and his deputy Itamar Avitan stated that they oppose widespread cuts that will involve all departments in the company. The Worker’s Committee claimed today that the “managements’ move contradicts the collective agreement and we will fight with all of the means at our disposal for every move for dismissal.”
