Today (Tuesday), 5 Israelis that have been stuck for the past 4 days on a trek in western Mongolia have sent a rescue request. The backpackers are expected to be rescued tomorrow, after their insurance company decided to send a special local rescue helicopter.
Although the backpackers started the trek in the region of Tavan Bogd several days ago, the weather and terrain conditions made it difficult to reach them.
2 other Israelis in their twenties were rescued after being stuck on the side of a mountain in Greece. The 2 lost their way due to heavy fog.
