An 85-year-old experienced Nepalese mountaineer will attempt to become the oldest man to climb Mount Everest next Friday. The current record holder is Japanese Yuichiro Miura, who climbed the highest mountain on earth in 2013 at the age of 80.

85-year-old Nepalese mountaineer Min Bahadur Sherchan is preparing to attempt to climb Mount Everest and become the oldest man to complete this challenge. Sherchan will attempt to break the record currently held by Japanese Yuichiro Miura, who climbed the highest mountain on earth in 2013 at the age of 80.
In preparation for the challenging climb, Sherchan conducts morning exercises on the rooftop of his home in Kathmandu, Nepal. Sherpan held the record in 2008 when he climbed the mountain at the age of 76 but he lost the title five years later to Miura.
Ever since, Sherchan has been training in order to take back the title. He will attempt to climb the mountain on April, 14.
