Following a shoot-out in Hebron that killed Sergeant Gal Kobi, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed to immediately populate the Patriarchs’ House. “One who tries to uproot us from the city of our ancestors will achieve the opposite,” he said.
Netanyahu wrote these things on his facebook page and added, “We will continue to fight terrorism as well as to hit terrorists in one hand, while in the other we will continue to strengthen Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.”
Even before the Prime Minister’s message, Economy Minister Naftali Bennett dispatched a letter demanding a new discussion on releasing terrorists given the shoot-out that occurred in Hebron, the murder of Israeli soldier Tomer Hazan, and he insisted upon the immediate repopulation of the Patriarchs’ House.
“Celebrations for approving negotiations transformed into a bloody Sukkot holiday,” said Bennett. “There is not a doubt that developments’ since starting negotiations requires that the government rethink their path. The response to terrorism needs to be a war against murderers and not to encourage dialogue with murderers.” Bennett also sent a letter to Cabinet Secretary Avichai Mandelblit to note and update his petition to the government.
