Two days after the fire broke out, an additional mishap was found in the Haifa Oil refinery. The Israeli Environmental Protection Ministry received a report of a mishap in a boiler inside a factory. At this stage, the irregularity is not detected but it is likely to increase the emissions of nitrogen oxides. Members of the Haifa Municipal Association were found in the area.

According to workers at the Haifa Oil Refinery, a boiler in a power station had a hole in it. The boiler was put out of operation temporarily and the Haifa Oil Refinery claims that there were no abnormal emissions following the mishap.

Earlier today, the Haifa Municipality decided to not extend the business license of the oil refinery and other factories that possess fuel storage tanks until they receive an update from the Fire and Rescue Services.
