Israeli Police Chief Roni Alsheikh agreed to meet and present his perspective of the investigation against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Alsheikh was invited to the Knessset by MK Yoav Kisch to participate at the Interior Committee.
The meeting will take place Wednesday when the police are to expose the evidence found in Netanyahu’s investigation. As previously reported by JOL, the High Court rejected Netanyahu’s attorney’s appeal to withhold the evidence found during the investigation from the public.
During an interview on Israeli current affairs television show, Uvda, Alsheikh inferred that Netanyahu might have used private investigators to investigate against the detectives in the case against him.
Members of Knesset have spoken out against Kisch’s decision to bring Alsheikh into the meeting. MKs are claiming that Kisch’s actions are serving as a scare tactic a day before the decision is to come out about the evidence found by the police during the investigation.
