Over 40 bereaved families sent a letter through Israeli diplomats to UN secretary-general António Guterres, urging the UN to stop funding organizations that represent terrorists in court. Among the groups mentioned in the letter are HaMoked and Adalah. In the letter, the families explained that these groups defend terrorists and their families.

The families wrote to Guterres, who is currently in Israel, that the UN is the main supporter of these groups that are leading the legal battle against Israel. The families claim that this battle is replacing the typical wars against the Jewish state, adding that by supporting the organizations, the UN is supporting the elimination of Israel.

In the past year, HaMoked and Adalah received more than 2 million NIS, the families wrote. The relatives of the terror victims added that the UN support for these organization goes against the organization’s policy of making peace throughout the world.

Among those who signed the letter are Hadas Mizrahi, the widow of Baruch Mizrahi, who was murdered in April 2014; Sara and Eliezer Rosenfeld, the parents of Malachy Rosenfeld, who was murdered in a shooting attack in June 2015; Rina Ariel the mother of Hallel Yaffa Ariel, who was murdered in her home in June 2016 and Merav and Herzl Hajaj, whose daughter Shir was murdered in Jerusalem during a truck-ramming attack.

Merav and Herzl Hajaj, who were among those who came up with the idea to send a letter to the UN secretary-general regarding the matter, stated: “In the State of Israel, there’s an industry that makes money off of the murder of Jews. Various organizations, such as HaMoked and Adalah, represent these same evil terrorists who murdered our loved ones and with the help of the significant funds they receive from the UN and European governments, they are preparing for the next murder.”
