Chairman of the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations GOP Senator Bob Corker accused US President Donald Trump of running the White House like a reality TV show, saying that the president is acting “like he’s doing The Apprentice or something” and said that the reckless threats being thrown around by Trump could place the nation “on the path to World War III.”
The accusations came after Trump posted a series of tweets against Corker on Sunday morning, claiming the GOP senator “begged” for the president’s endorsement for re-election but Trump refused, blaming him for the “horrendous” Iran nuclear deal. Corker tweeted in response: “It’s a shame the White House has become an adult day care center. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning.”

In an interview with the New York Times, Corker criticized the president’s behavior and added: “He concerns me, he would have to concern anyone who cares about our nation.” Corker made his retirement announcement in late September, which according to Trump was due to the latter’s refusal to endorse him. He will remain in his post until the end of his term this year.
Corker, a former real estate developer who had been on good terms with Trump, told the New York Times that despite the harsh criticism, he liked his occasional golf partner and wished the president “no harm.”
