Yesterday (Sunday), the Israel Police arrested two young men on suspicion of assaulting a cashier at the Rami Levi supermarket chain’s Eilat branch. Patrol officers who arrived at the scene following a report to the 100 emergency call center arrested the two 22 and 25-year-old Bat Yam and Herzliya residents living in Eilat on suspicion of assault. The incident’s circumstances are currently under investigation.

The entire incident was caught on tape by the branch’s security cameras as the two said a few words to the cashier, left the building and came back inside. The video shows the two beginning to beat the cashier and throw items at him, while the cashier attempts to fight back.

The incident ended when bystanders and employees separated the two sides despite the two young men’s opposition.
