A security camera near London Bridge recorded the moments when police officers began shooting at the three terrorists who murdered eight people and injured dozens more. The death toll from the attack rose yesterday when the body of a missing French tourist was discovered in the Thames River.
Four days after the deadly terror attack in London, the security camera footage of the moments in which the three terrorists were neutralized was released. In the video, the terrorists are seen attacking civilians with their knives. When a police car arrives at the scene, the officers are seen quickly exiting the vehicle and opening fire, eliminating the terrorists.
In the video, the terrorists are seen attempting to stab the officers even though they are shooting at them. According to the Metropolitan Police, the officers fired more than 50 bullets in order to make sure that the terrorists were eliminated.
On Wednesday, the death toll from the attack rose to eight after the body of a missing French woman was found in the Thames River. Meanwhile, Scotland Yard released the identity of the third terrorist: Youssef Zaghba, a young man of joint Moroccan and Italian heritage. The 22-year-old lived in East London and was not being surveilled by the British security forces.
