Over 1.3 billion people live in China. Thanks to the country’s state-of-the-art tracking system, huge numbers of people are exposed at almost every moment and every place to close government surveillance.

Recently, China completed the establishment of the system that is located at many of the country’s intersections. The system includes tens of millions of cameras, which can automatically identify people and provide their basic information such as name or profession. The system serves as an effective tool in the fight against crime.

Chinese company SenseTime is responsible for the technology that utilizes China’s enormous database. It appears that the country’s citizens don’t mind the lack of privacy as security is more important to them.

The government is now investing in a system that will be able to recognize individuals according to their voice and walking style.
