While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon continue to engage in heated rhetoric over Israel’s Broadcasting Corporation, Israel’s Interior Minister Aryeh Deri warned tonight in an interview with Channel 2’s Main Edition that “if we go to elections over the corporation, the Prime Minister will bear the consequences.”

“It is unforgivable for anyone to go to elections,” he stated. “We won’t be forgiven if the government falls. Until now, we weren’t involved because the coalition agreements state that the Prime Minister will lead on communication issues. Last week, we saw that this came out. We saw that the Prime Minister and Minister did not reach a solution.”

Deri stressed that “we cannot go to elections. On Thursday, if we don’t find a solution, the heads of the political parties will convene and they won’t leave the room until there is a solution. He shall bear all of the consequences if we go to elections.”
