After the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital sparked anger around the world, an Israeli restaurant owner in Holland, whose restaurant was vandalized, claimed that he still supports President Donald Trump’s declaration.
US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital has sparked anger among Palestinians and has even reached Amsterdam, where a man was arrested for smashing the windows of a kosher restaurant.
Yesterday (Thursday), restaurant owner Sammi Brown told Channel 2 News that despite the vandalism, he completely supports Trump’s decision. “I have an Israeli flag that is usually outside,” he recalled. “Although today it was inside. He broke the glass of the door, entered the restaurant and took the flag out and attempted to hit the police officer with it. Then a different police officer jumped on him from behind.”
Brown added that he is sure that the man’s actions were in response to Trump’s declaration. “For what Trump did, they can break the windows ten more times,” he stated. “Jerusalem will still be Israel’s capital.”
