Arab news outlets claimed tonight (Wednesday) that the Israeli air force carried out attacks near the airport in Damascus. There are also photographs which depict the damage caused in the area. Apparently, no one was hurt in the alleged Israeli air strike.
No Israeli official is willing to discuss the attack carried out not long ago. There are also conflicting reports according to which the Syrian rebels carried out the attack on the building from the ground.
Two weeks ago, Syrian opposition claimed that Israeli aircrafts bombarded military posts near Ras al-Ayn and Katifa along the Lebanese border. The report noted that no one was injured in the attack.
In September IDF forces attacked two military targets in the center of the Syrian Golan Heights, in response to the ongoing spillage of shooting from fighting near the Israeli-Syrian border. “The IDF sees the Syrian Army as responsible for what takes place in its territory and will not tolerate any attempt to harm the sovereignty of the State of Israel and the security of its citizens,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said.
