A Tulkarm resident has been arrested for attempting to carry out a terror attack in Israel. He was apprehended by the Israel Border Police’s Mista’arvim unit in Rahat. The suspect resisted arrest and even took out a knife.

On Wednesday, the Israel Border Police’s Mista’arvim unit arrested a Tulkarm resident suspected of attempting to carry out a terror attack in Israel. The officers from the elite undercover unit managed to take the suspect into custody even though he had taken out a knife and was resisting arrest.
The Palestinian suspect was arrested in the southern city of Rahat without the use of gunfire and has been handed over to security officials for questioning. “The Border Police Mista’arvim units that are spread out across the country, and especially the one that operates in the southern region, are the forefront of Israel’s security operations and, along with the various organizations, are operating under a constant risk over time and in complex scenarios,” the Israel Police stated. “In Israel, in the Judea and Samaria territories and in every place that will be required, the security forces, especially the Israel Police, will operate to protect and uphold the safety of the citizens of Israel.”
