While the US is considering withdrawing from the Paris Agreement on climate change, most of the countries that have committed to limiting global warming said that US President Donald Trump’s decision will not affect them.

Today (Wednesday), a senior-level official in the European Union stated that Europe and China will remain loyal to the Paris Agreement on climate change, following reports that US President Donald Trump is considering withdrawing from the agreement.
“The Paris Agreement will continue with full force of implementation even if the US pulls out,” the EU official said. Earlier, Trump tweeted that he will decide soon whether the US will continue to support the agreement.
The announcement of the US administration’s intention to withdraw from the Paris agreement, signed in 2015, comes after last week’s attempts by European leaders to persuade Trump to stay. French President Emmanuel Macron spoke at lengths with Trump during their meeting in Brussels.
