This morning (Tuesday), German media outlets reported a shooting at a Munich U-Bahn station during which several were injured, including a policewoman. At least one person has been arrested; police have ruled out terrorism.

A shooting took place this morning (Tuesday) at an underground railway station in Munich, Germany during which a policewoman was seriously injured. At least one person has been arrested for the shooting to which a heavy police force responded.

According to reports in the German media, the shooter opened fire on a group of police officers patrolling the U-Bahn station. The incident took place at the Unterfoehring station in Munich. Police have called on the public to refrain from coming to the station until it became clear whether the incident was over.
Local police stated the situation has been secured and according to initial reports from Bavaria, the police do not believe the shooting was a terror attack.
