Several hours after US President Donald Trump left Israel, Israeli politicians have already started working. Right-wing officials claim that as Trump didn’t mention the subject of settlement building in his speech, it was as if he gave a confirmation to continue building.

Right-wing reactions to Trump’s speech are very supportive and it seems that in the coming weeks settlement constructions will continue. “Trump gave a ‘green light’ and leeway,” senior-level right-wing official stated. “This is the time to expand settlements and seek sovereignty in the West Bank.” Trump’s Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt will return for talks with Israel and the Palestinian Authority in the coming days.
