Two jets collided on the tarmac of Ben Gurion Airport on Wednesday morning in a severe security incident. No passengers were injured. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.

A German airliner collided with an El Al jet early on Wednesday morning on a runway at Ben Gurion Airport. No injuries were reported.
The incident occurred as Germania Boeing 737 was reversing out of parking when it hit the tail of an El Al aircraft that was set to take off to Rome. All passengers were evacuated back to the airport terminal and both jets suffered tail damage
Passengers reported feeling a powerful bump at the moment of collision. The crew of both airliners quickly calmed any concerns as passengers were safely evacuated. Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport said it is investigating the crash along with the Transport Ministry ‘s Aviation Incidents and Accidents Investigation Office.
