An 18-year-old girl from California was busy live-streaming on Instagram while allegedly driving under the influence. She documented herself in a fatal car accident in which her younger sister, who was sitting in the back seat, was killed. The girl continued filming even when her 14-year-old sister was lying on the road.

Obdulia Sanchez was arrested after the accident. According to the California Highway Patrol, she was driving 2 minors in the backseat at the time of the accident who did not have their seatbelts on. While her younger sister Jacqueline Sanchez was killed, the other girl sustained heavy injuries.

Sanchez deviated from the road and when attempting to fix her course, she over-corrected and the car crashed through a fence and overturned. The video, which could be seen on Instagram hours after the accident, showed Sanchez singing and dancing before the accident.

“I know I’m going to jail for life,” Sanchez can be heard saying over the body of her sister. “I love my sister…this is the last thing I thought was going to happen to us but it just did.”

“We’re deeply saddened by this tragedy,” Instagram’s statement says. “We urge people to use our reporting tools if they see any content or behavior that puts anyone’s safety at risk.”
