US President Donald Trump’s administration is continuing to act to prevent the UN Human Rights Council from publishing the ‘blacklist’ of international companies doing business in Israeli settlements in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Golan Heights.
US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley threatened to cut the funding of senior-level officials in the organization if the list is published. According to Haley, the response will be severe and the US might even leave the council, a move that was already taken in the past.

Earlier, the Jordanian UN high commissioner for human rights Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein publicly attacked Trump and stated that he is damaging freedom of press and encouraging incitement.
Meanwhile, Israel continues to work in different areas against the publication of the list, which has the potential to cause extensive economic damage to the country. It is believed that the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement is leading the efforts against Israel.
