After clashing today (Monday) with the families of Palestinian security prisoners incarcerated in Israel over the issue of Israel holding terrorists’ bodies, MK Oren Hazan appeared on the Israeli television show “Six with Oded Ben Ami” and addressed the storm that broke out. “I’m happy that I did it and I hope that it also bears fruit,” Hazan said.
Hazan explained what led him to fight with the Palestinian terrorists’ families, who were at the prison in order to visit their relatives. “They knew what their children had done and they fully support them,” Hazan claimed. “You look at these people who have murder in their eyes and you have to stand your ground – not on a personal level, but on a level of our national pride.”
Meanwhile, Hazan’s actions raised quite a storm among Palestinians and even led to a response from senior-level Hamas terror member Fathi Hamad. “We say to Oren Hazan the pig – our honor hasn’t been trampled,” Hamad said. “Our honor is beyond any consideration, God willing, His name will be praised.”
Hamad continued by describing the terrorist organization’s treatment of Gilad Shalit while it held him in captivity. “We remind you Hazan, by the grace of God, His name will be praised, we treated the prisoners of war whom we captured from your army according to the Islamic ethic and to our values and customs,” Hamad claimed. “Ask Gilad Shalit how we treated him gently and kindly when he was in captivity.”
