The Quds Press news agency reported that Hamas foiled a Fatah’s seditious plot within the Gaza Strip.

Hamas has named PA General Majed Faraj as the mastermind behind the plan. Faraj’s plans were aimed at undermining the internal situation in Gaza.

Hamas has also provided the names of the suspects involved in the scheme to a number of Islamic countries. According to the report, most of the suspects are concentrated in the West Bank, with a bunch also operating from other Arab countries.

Fatah Intelligence Officer Zaki Rashad Al-Sakani who is listed as an operative was recently arrested in Egypt.

The Palestinian Authority that governs parts of the West Bank is led by Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah party. The PA government used to govern Gaza until Hamas took control from Fatah in 2007 through a bloody civil war.
