The social media website Gab came under major fire when it was revealed that the man who murdered 11 congregants from the Pittsburgh Tree of Life Synagogue had used it’s platform to write violently anti-Semitic posts, and apparently to announce his killing spree.

The post from Bowers on the morning of the shooting read like this;

“HIAS (Hebrew Immigration Aid Society) likes to bring invaders in that kill our people. I can’t sit by and watch my people get slaughtered. Screw your optics, I’m going in.”
