The authorities identified the victims of the terrorist attack on Barkan Industrial Park in Samaria (northern West Bank) as Kim Levengrond Yehezkel, 29, married, mother of a baby, and Ziv Hajbi, 35, father of three children.
Yehezkel lived in the town of Rosh Hayin, while Hajbi resided in Rishon Letzíon. Both were killed by a Palestinian terrorist in the Barkan industrial park near the Ariel settlement.
A second woman suffered moderate injuries in the attack and was evacuated to the Beilinson Hospital in Petaj Tikva, where she is being treated by a bullet she has taken to the stomach.
The 23-year-old Palestinian terrorist comes from Shuweika, near Tul Qarem. He had previously been employed in the Barkan Industrial Park. He entered before 8:00 a.m. with a Carlo machine gun, according to the military spokesman.
Inside, he bound Yehezkel and Hajbi and shot them at point-blank range, as well as the third victim, according to eyewitnesses.
He fled the scene armed with the machine gun.
The military spokesman indicated that the attacker had no criminal record and was not linked to any terrorist group, although several extremist organizations praised his actions.
Shortly before the attack, he had written on his Facebook page that he was “waiting for Allah”.
