About a month and a half ago after Anthony Scaramucci resigned from his White House position after not even two weeks of holding the title, the White House named Hope Hicks as the new and permanent communications director. Hicks has been the interim communications director since Scaramucci’s resignation. The 28-year-old was the spokesperson for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and has remained one of the US president’s close aides.
Hicks started to work for the Trump family in 2014, when Ivanka hired her as her public relations aide. Until January 2015, she worked for the Trump Organization. When Trump announced his plans to run for president, Hicks was appointed as his press secretary at the young age of 26.
Since entering the White House, Hicks has been an adviser to the president and worked as the director of strategic communications. She is reportedly one of the most senior White House employees with one of the largest salaries. Hicks also has a very good relationship with Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner.
