British authorities confirmed that 22-year-old Salman Abedi, a Mancunian of Libyan descent, as the suicide bomber who murdered 22 people during an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester.
Today (Tuesday), senior-level US officials revealed the identity of the suicide terrorist responsible for the attack in Manchester last night. It is believed that 22-year-old Salman Abedi, a Mancunian of Libyan descent, arrived at the Ariana Grande concert by train. British intelligence agency MI5 are still trying to figure out whether the attack was related to ISIS or any other terrorist organization.
According to British news outlets, Abedi was known to the British security authorities. Police are checking if he was acting alone or had any assistance. Earlier, a 23-year-old British citizen was arrested on suspicion that he was involved in the terror attack.

“I can confirm that the man suspected of carrying out last night’s atrocity has been named as 22-year-old Salman Abedi,” said Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police Ian Hopkins. “The priority remains to establish whether he was acting alone or working as a part of a network.”

Yesterday, during Ariana Grande’s concert, Abedi blew himself up at the entrance to the concert hall that was holding 20 thousand people, murdering 22 people and injuring many more. ISIS claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack.
