The Israeli Finance and Defense Ministries signed a new agreement that will enable salary supplements to IDF career soldiers at the beginning of their careers. Thanks to the agreement, all officers and NCOs entering the initial career service stage will receive salaries above 6,000 shekels.

In the past year, the IDF has been working to improve the salaries of its career officers. Today (Monday), a new agreement was signed between the Israeli Finance and Defense Ministries that will enable salary supplements to officers and career soldiers.
The agreement includes a wage increase of 400 shekels (approximately 110 dollars) for non-academic career soldiers and officers. In addition, a significant increase in the number of sectorial wage quotas was decided and will allow officers and career soldiers in unique professions a salary increase of 2,500 shekels per month (approximately 700 dollars).
Thanks to the agreement, which will affect 10,000 career soldiers, all officers and non-commissioned officers entering the initial career service stage will receive salaries above 6,000 shekels (approximately 1655 dollars) per month.
