Documentation from Friday’s clashes along the Gaza-Israel border shows new practices to sabotage Israeli security infrastructure. Meanwhile, Israeli Minister Gilad Erdan protested the EU demands for an investigation into the death of a 15-year-old Palestinian protester.

After Friday’s clashes between Palestinian protesters and IDF forces along the Gaza-Israel border, the IDF is blaming Hamas and claiming that the terror organization is “making use of civilians, youth and children to cover up and carry out terror operations designed to sabotage security infrastructure.”

The IDF has published a video showing kites carrying Molotov cocktails flying from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory. As JOL reported yesterday, this tactic has been widely used by Palestinians in Gaza in the past several days.

The Israeli military also released documentation that shows a group of teenagers igniting security infrastructure along the border while another group pulls the burning equipment with a rope to extract it from the ground. According to the IDF, Palestinians use this tactic to make it easier for them to infiltrate Israel.

Yesterday, JOL reported that a 15-year-old Palestinian boy was killed during the Friday protests. It was reported by Reuters that the mother of the 15-year-old had forbidden him from going to the protests but he didn’t listen to her. He also ignored the IDF leaflets warning against participating in the violent protests.

Due to the EU’s demand for an investigation into the incident, Israeli Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan has stated, “This demand is fortifying Hamas’ motivation for the use of teenagers as a human shield.”

“The EU is proving that they’re the ones who fire on automatic-mode without any thought about who will get hurt,” he added.
