The IDF says most of Hamas’ stockpile of missiles was destroyed in Tuesday’s heavy strike on Gaza. A total of 65 Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets were hit in response to the firing of dozens of missiles and mortars toward Israeli towns earlier this week.
In a new video released on Wednesday, the IDF revealed footage of several terror targets being hit, including missile storage facilities, naval weapons and a training camp for unmanned aircraft.
Eyal Zamir, the head of the IDF Southern Command, said the targets hit were “very important” and estimated that the level of damage caused to Hamas and the Islamic Jihad has deterred them from seeking a military conflict with Israel.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier that the IDF had delivered “the toughest blow in years” on terrorist groups in Gaza. “When they test us, they pay for it immediately, and if they continue to test us they will pay a lot more,” he said.
