A senior Israel Defense Forces (IDF) official revealed that over the past year and a half the military has carried out more than 200 attacks in Syria.
The officer said most of the attacks were directed against weapons systems and infrastructure sites belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in Syrian territory.
A total of 202 targets were targeted in Syria by some 800 bombs and missiles, most of which were fired from Israeli Air Force combat planes.
Israel has repeatedly warned that it will not tolerate Iranian military presence of any kind in Syria. Tehran has been supporting the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and assisting terrorist groups such as Hezbollah throughout the civil war.
Israel rarely takes responsibility for individual attacks. The IDF sometimes admits to having bombed convoys of weapons intended for the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah.
Hezbollah has suffered around 2 thousand casualties and is in financial straits, while “Hassan Nasrallah is hiding in a bunker,” they added.
