This evening (Thursday), Israeli Channel 2 News discovered that following the Amona evacuation scandal, it was decided to increase security for Israeli President of the Supreme Court Miriam Naor. Those close to Naor stated that there was no concrete threat or intel leading to the decision.
The decision was made following the protests outside the Supreme Court. A similar protest is happening tonight outside of Naor’s home in Jerusalem.

The Derech Chaim movement, which organized this morning’s protest, clarified that their campaign is against the Supreme Court’s ‘dictatorship’. “We cannot accept the fact that a group that represents maybe one thousandth of the Israeli nation will force itself onto the public,” A senior-level official from the movement said. “Today it is the residents of Amona, yesterday it was the residents of South Tel Aviv who continue to suffer from illegal immigrants and tomorrow it could be anyone else.”
Yesterday (Wednesday), the Knesset approved the first call of the controversial Regulation Law that will allow the regulation of thousands of housing units in the West Bank (after removing the article regarding Amona).
