A top Iranian commander boasted on Sunday that the United States and Israel cannot bear the costs of a military confrontation with Iran.
“At present, the development and deepening of Iran’s regional power has made any decision to confront the Islamic Republic difficult, which will be followed by unimaginable costs,” Maj.-Gen. Gholam Ali Rashid, commander of Iran’s Khatam al Anbia Central Headquarters, was quoted by the Fars news agency as saying on Sunday. “Today, the Zionist regime has, more than the past, understood the Islamic Republic of Iran’s power in the region and will avoid testing it because it cannot manage confrontation against Iran and cannot bear its costs.”
Last week, JOL reported that an Iranian official told the Islamic Republic News Agency that Tehran has tripled its production of missiles in response to US President Donald Trump’s plan to scrap the nuclear deal if it is not amended.
“In the past, we had to justify our operations to many organizations, but this is no longer the case,” commander of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Amir Ali Hajizadeh explained. He further said that Iran has fulfilled its needs for land-to-land missiles and that the entire process was approved by the government.
