Today (Monday), at least 12 people were killed and 28 others were wounded after a car exploded in Sadr City, Iraq. Although ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, the AP news agency hasn’t yet verified the statement. According to reports, Iraqi security forces were among the dead.
As reported last week by JOL, Iraqi forces announced the successful recapturing of 70% of Tal Afar, which was in the hands of ISIS forces and was the terrorist organization’s last stronghold in Northern Iraq.
