At 11:00am, a two minute siren will be heard in order to remember Israel’s fallen soldiers and terror victims. Immediately after this, the official ceremony will begin on Mount Herzl with the participation of Israel’s Prime Minister, President and IDF Chief of Staff.

Events and memorial ceremonies in honor of Israel’s fallen soldiers and terror victims will continue today across the country. At 11:00am, a two minute siren will be heard. After that, the official ceremony will begin with the participation of the Prime Minister, President and IDF Chief of Staff.

Throughout the day, candles will be lit in cemeteries in honor of each one of Israel’s 23,447 fallen soldiers and people will watch Memorial Day videos. It is a custom to lay a flag in honor of Israel’s fallen with the participation of the country’s bereaved families.
