At approximately 2:30 am yesterday morning Israeli aircraft crossed Lebanese airspace and fired at military sites in the northwestern region of Syria, according to the Syrian news agency Sana.
The airstrikes hit a military academy and a missile development center in a village near Masyaf City where 17 were wounded and an unspecified amount of people were killed, reported the London based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights
Conflicting reports are claiming that the attack was aimed at targets linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), while others are claiming that the military base belonged to Hezbollah.
The IDF has not commented on the attack.
