Two men, including an Israeli disc jockey, were shot dead last night at a party in northern Mexico. The party was raided by two armed men who opened fire before fleeing. When the San Luis Potosi Police Department arrived at the scene they found two dead and two wounded, local Mexican media reported.
One of the victims found was Ronen Dahan, also known as DJ Perplex. Dahan, 45 years of age, of Israeli nationality, lived in the Stockholm area. Before the party, Hahan posted on his Facebook account that he was in San Luis Potosi for a gig. The other victim was identified by the police as 31-year-old Alvaro, and the two other men who were injured are reported to be stable.
There are several drug cartels fighting over the territory of San Luis Potosi, including the notorious Jalisco New Generation. The Jalisco New Generation Cartel is a Mexican criminal group based in Jalisco and headed by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (“El Mencho”). These gangs contract killers to murder their rivals and dump their bodies in unmarked graves. These contracted killers also murder their targets them in the middle of the street, at parties or in public restaurants on a regular basis.
