Watch: Druze Israelis storm the border fence
Dozens of Israeli Druze citizens on Friday broke through the border fence separating Israel from Syria in order to join the ongoing battle in Khader, a Syrian Druze village located about 3 km away from the border. IDF forces brought them back into Israel.
Nine people were killed and 23 injured in Khader after a car exploded Friday morning. The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said the Israeli army is prepared to intervene in the Syrian war in order to prevent the takeover of the village by Assad’s forces.
