This evening (Monday), Israeli Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan expressed his support of the new proposed legislation that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is promoting, according to which the need for government approval would be canceled before going to war.
Erdan claimed that today’s wars are different than what they used to be. “All of the security ministers and most heads of coalition parties sit in the Security Cabinet,” he explained. “There is a concern that the need for government approval and not only the cabinet’s approval could potentially leak information and this might affect the success of the operation.”

The Public Security Minister said that he supports Netanyahu and would like him to continue to lead the country.
