Today (Thursday), the Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Office filed an indictment against 49-year-old Moshe Gabai from Rishon LeZion for conspiring to commit a crime and drug smuggling.

According to the indictment, the accused Gabai and a state witness were business partners in a gambling website that they ran. Gabai recruited an old friend of his, Golan Dana, and encouraged him to gamble on their website. As time went on, Golan had thousands of shekels of debt as a result loans he took from the accused to pay for his gambling.

Golan was unable to pay Gabai back, so he and the two business partners conspired for Golan to smuggle 5 kg of ecstasy from Amsterdam to Israel using an Xbox.
