TIME magazine revealed its 2017 list of the 100 Most Influential People on Thursday. For the second time, U.S. President Donald Trump made the list. However, this was the first year that his daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner both made the list. No Israelis made the prestigious list this year.
Among those who made the 2017 list were leaders and public figures such as Pope Francis, British Prime Minister Theresa May and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Actor Ryan Reynolds, actress Emma Stone, singer Alicia Keys were also included in this year’s list.
“These past 12 months have sharpened our edges as political debates in the U.S. and Europe, the Middle East and Asia, turned jagged and primal and seem almost perfectly designed to divide us more deeply,” TIME magazine editor Nancy Gibbs wrote.
