A man was moderately injured in a stabbing on Pierre Koenig street in Jerusalem on Sunday. The Jerusalem District Police has ruled out terrorism, stating that the stabbing was a criminally motivated attack.
The stabber was neutralized by an off-duty officer who was at the scene. Magen David Adom teams arrived at the scene to give initial treatment to the injured and evacuated them to the hospital.
The first report was called in to the Magen David Adom center at 1:45 PM. Magen David Adom medic Ori Cohen said, “When we arrived at the site, close to the mall’s entrance, we saw two people injured—a 35-year-old man lying on the road conscious and suffering from bullet wounds on his limbs, and on the sidewalk was a man in his 30s, partly conscious, suffering from puncture wounds to his torso. We gave them initial life-saving treatment, including bandages to stop their bleeding, and they were urgently evacuated to the Shaare Zedek hospital while in moderate and serious condition.”
