The Kremlin has responded to the latest reports in the US about possible links between Trump’s administration and Russia, mocking the US media for being “obsessed.”

Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that the US’ “emotional obssesion” is “regrettable.” “We understand that it is necessary to be patient, we hope that the obsession will pass soon,” he added.

In a Friday tweet, US President Donald Trump said that the allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 US election was “fabricated by the Democrats as an excuse for losing the election.”

Trump also brought up the fact that James Clapper, the former Director of National Intelligence, has testified before the Senate that he was unaware of any evidence showing links between Trump’s campaign and Russia.
